Wet n Wild Spree!

Last week I stopped at the drugstore for batteries and walked out with a bunch of WnW!  I must say, I am impressed with the way WnW has improved their products.  Here is what I got:

And now in more detail:

These pencils are nice and creamy, but I noticed that Techno is very translucent and when I wore Distress in ran everywhere.  Maybe using primer underneath would help set it.

The eyeshadows had great pigmentation which totally surprised me.  I decided to wear the "I'm Feeling Retro" pallet the other day was shocked when it stayed through the night and even into the morning.

What are your thoughts on Wet N Wild's pallets and pencils?

No work today!  And since there is no work, I had time to take photos!!  I'm still trying to get use to the camera.  I've always used a point and shoot... which is fine... but Ling has a pretty dope camera that I'm having fun figuring out.  Its a Canon T2i.  I never knew I was interested in photography until playing with it!  Anyway, back to the make up.  I'm wearing a hot pink shirt today and I have purple hi-lights in my hair, so I wanted to do a muted green look.  So I grabbed my board (photos coming soon) of About Face pigments in green and got started.  (Note:  About Face Cosmetics has been discontinued.)  I've been sticking to purples and just using eyeliner lately, so I had a lot of fun playing around and blending colors up.  I did a pretty awesome look on Saturday night for the Linkin Park concert, but totally spaced on taking pictures.  I used purples, blacks and glitter!!... my eyes wouldn't stop watering though.  Okay, I keep getting carried away.  Here is my look today:

A New Start

Okay, so my room is halfway done.  I just need to hang some stuff on the walls and move all my makeup in!  But that will have to wait for another day.  I decided to take advantage of having my little makeup room today.  I stopped at Ulta on my way home from work this afternoon after discovering that my black eyeliner is almost out *gasp*!  I've had my eye on the Urban Decay 15th anniversary 24/7 eyeliners... but come on... $92?!  I grabbed the eyeliner set just in case but decided to shop around and see if I could get more for my money.  Guess what?... I did!!  Sorry UD!  So without further ado... here is my haul and swatches.

They have a deal going on right now... if you spend $17.50 on Ulta brand products, you get a cool kit for free!  They had three choices.  I chose this once since it was a little more colorful!

Here's what was in my kit:

Eyeshadow Quad 1: Truffle, Platinum, Trendsetter, and Granite

Photobucket
Eyeshadow Quad 2: Gold Leaf, Love, Plum Noir, and Turquoise

Photobucket
Left to Right: Halo Highlight, Parisian Pout Lipstick, Bellini and Starlet Lipglosses, and Rose Lipliner

I didn't swatch the eyeliners that came with is since there were just black and brown.  It also came with a teal nail polish, a cute mirror, mascara and some crappy little brushes that my puppy ran off with.

Speaking of my puppy...

My wonderful boyfriend got her for me for our anniversary/Christmas present.  Her name is Gidget Love and she's a 6 month old Yorkie.  Such a good girl!!  She was trying to help me while I was taking pictures tonight.  She looks a little mangie since she rolled around in the dirt as soon as I gave her a bath the other day plus she needs to go to the groomer desperately bad.

Okay, now onto the other things I purchased:

That would be Ling's hand.  I was having problems... the button to take the picture is on the right side of the camera and I'm left handed... so I had to swatch with my right hand so I could take pictures of my left hand.  I couldn't do what I wanted... so he let me draw on him.  Like I said... wonderful bf!

Photobucket
That would be a blush in Heartbreaker (the same color that came in the kit... I was a little bummed that I have two now.) and an eyeshadow in Bone.

And that is it.  I had fun today.  I haven't gone makeup shopping in awhile and it was fun to work on this blog again.  Stay tuned for more!!

Coming up...

Hey everyone!

I know I have been horrible at updating this.  I agreed a year ago to house sit for some people I know.  They went to New Zealand for TWO months so I've been a little scattered.   The good news is, I'll be done watching the house and dogs in a week and will be back at my own place... can't wait!  Also, my WONDERFUL boyfriend told me I could turn one of the rooms in his house into my makeup room.  I'm a VERY lucky girl.  So we finally got it painted over the weekend and I'm now shopping around to complete it.   I'm hoping to have it done by summer, but who knows.  I do plan to get very into my blog once I have a place to really spread out and work.  So stay tuned!

I have taken a lot of pictures of EOTD's and swatches that I promise to post once I'm back home.

Seahawks EOTD!

**I found the Seahawks blog!**

First off, I know... it's been a very long time since I posted anything.  I've been thinking about my blog a lot lately and how I'd love to start working on it again... andhopefully keeping it up!  So with that being said, I will try my hardest to update more often.

Now, I grew up in Seattle, so therefore I am a Seahawks fan!  Today was their first game of the season so I got inspired.  Ang guess what?... THEY WON!

I'm back!

Okay, okay... I know it has been a really long time since I posted anything. I attempted to post a looked based on the Seattle Seahawks, but my computer was being a jerk, and it didn't get posted. I'll try to get it up here later.

I did a look today that I've done a few times before. I absolutely LOVE it! I ordered some cool samples from MyBeautyAddiction months ago and I kind of pushed them to the side while I dabbled in my hundreds of other eye pigments. A couple weeks ago I stumbled across them again and started playing. Hope you like it!

What I used:

E.L.F. Mineral Eye Primer
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk (inner corner of eye – top and bottom)
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Pacific (outer 2/3)
About Face Eye Pigment in High Drama (outer 2/3 – top and bottom)
MyBeautyAddiction eye pigment in Celestial (inner 1/3 – top and bottom) *swatches to come*
Black gel liner
CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara

Since I loved those samples from MyBeautyAddiction, I ordered a sample set the other day of their new "Pure Metallic" collection.  They are gorgeous and perfect for fall.  I can’t wait to start playing with them.  They are extremely opaque and very smooth.  Heaven!!  I recommend getting samples from MBA.  The samples are generous.  I can almost fill a 5 gram jar with sifter… no joke!  And I only paid $9.50 with shipping for all 9 samples.  The first set I took in the light with flash.  The second set is in natural indoor lighting.
